deserve good LC follow up.  But I also think they are more capable than
we give them credit, IF mom is allowed to modify her approach to suit
their needs.
I have to chime in with Cathy's above comments.  In my area there is not
enough credit given to preterm babies, and so they usually bottlefeed and moms
pump and give expressed breastmilk.

When women of not quite term babies are pumping, experiencing low milk
volumes, and by chance they call me, the first step I take is to get those babies
onto the breast.  The moms are usually amazed at how well the baby does at the
breast, and they're thrilled!  However, treating these babies as fulltermers
does not get them to take to the breast.
