"I think that one must look at psy issues/ i think that mother's who wean
before they are ready to leak a lot longer than those who are at peace iwth
thier weaning.... our bodies talk to us.

Just anecdotally, but with both of my first two I leaked for almost a year
(not much - just drops) afterwards. I definitely was ready to wean, but I
was working full time in Pediatrics (inpatient) at the time. Lots of
crying babies to trigger letdown!

I remember one infant who I had to have other nurses feed for me; this
formula-fed baby(!)kept trying to latch on to me and wouldn't take a bottle
from me. I also cared for a breastfed baby who everyone gave to me to
feed. This baby would only take a bottle of his mom's EBM from me - I
would cuddle him close and hold the bottle as if I were nursing him. I
wasn't surprised that I continued to leak for so long!
