Jean I think we have the same therapist! :-)  I've also been counseled on how
feelings just are, they aren't right or wrong nor can someone else be responsible
for them.  A feeling one has is due in large to their whole life experience and how
people reacted to them and how they reacted to situations...that apparently builds
a foundation of perception and how you perceive future encounters/experiences. To
me it feels like you almost build a bias in your reactions whether you want to or not
(almost like a knee jerk response) and you have to consciously change your reactions 
and thereby your perceptions to experience different outcomes.

Where were we again....ah yes  Guilt or something else?.....
