We definitely had that conversation and mom decided to make that change.

As laid out in my email, the plan is
~ feed no less then every three hours at night....
~continue feeding on cue the rest of the day supplementing at the breast as
needed (mom has a very good handle how much/when)

She is doing both.

She was concerned yesterday am b/c after feeding twice in the night, her am
supply was 'lower'. We talked about how it wasn't 'lower' but rather
redistributed....talked again about emptier breast making milk faster, full
full breasts slowing significantly in production.

with her permission, here is what she wrote
<<So she has put on 6 ounces since Sunday! I'm sure the combination of
night feeding
and supplementing. I'm letting pumping go for the time being. Yesterday it
was all seeming too overwhelming. I did have more at this mornings feedings
than yesterday so hopefully that pattern will continue.>>

I also just got a text from her.....a 3 oz feed at night unsupplemented.

Hopefully it's turning around.

Thanks everyone:)
K
