the milk. She called the hospital and spoke to the IBCLC there who told
her
to absolutely NOT pump>>

WHAT? You mean this IBCLC DARED to contradict the health care provider??
The OB said to pump and the IBCLC said NOT TO? Oh. My. Goodness. In blatant
disregard of the IBLCE SOP which is still up on the Australian website so it
ISN'T gone, even if it is off the U.S. one. Remember, this is INTERNATIONAL,
so the SOP is still in force....

Oh, but maybe the IBCLC didn't know she wasn't supposed to give correct
information if it contradicted the OB because maybe she didn't have a chance to
look at the IBLCE website, and maybe she wasn't one of the ones that
certified/recertified this year so didn't get a copy of it.

Ah -- but ignorance of the law doesn't mean diddly squat. That won't wash
in court.

My, my, what ARE we to do? I hope this IBCLC treads very carefully. After
all, despite the dire things that could have happened with this
previa/abruption about to take place if she pumps -- the IBCLC dared to tell her not to do
it. In direct violation....

I shudder to think of the consequences.
