Pat says:

<<The cabbage leaf treatment offers relief for engorgement but I have not
seen it to reduce a milk supply. It is my opinion, after using it widely
in my practice, that it draws out edema from tissue but neither milk from
ducts nor blood from veins in a swollen ankle>>

I definitely agree w/ you about the cabbage not drawing milk from the ducts
or blood from veins (and I know you said that TIC -- :-D ), but I have seen it
decrease milk supply and increase comfort in moms IF (BIG IF BIG IF) they
are not concurrently continuing to stimulate milk supply.

Babies nursing, pumps pumping, hands expressing will trump cabbage any day.
But meanwhile it can provide comfort between nursings on a side, and if
she's not stimulating frequently, can help reduce the supply as well.

I don't know how it does it.

Maybe it is magic.

And because of that, I'm not going to put any in my wallet, just in case it
also reduces money.

You and Linda P both suggested sage which I haven't tried yet. I'm talking
to the mom again tomorrow -- and will suggest it as well. But as I said, I'm
thinking now a much more forceful MER than true oversupply. But probably a
bit of both.
