In practice, I never wear gloves unless checking baby's mouth/suck, dealing
with open skin or MRSA or something like that. Hand washing always done of
course.

Personally, my last birth (9 months ago) the IBCLC wore gloves after my
c-section and honestly, my first thought was...OMG...is there something
wrong? Am I dirty? Silly perhaps, but went through my head.

Colette L. Baran, IBCLC in chilly Massachusetts
