Hi Melissa:

What I heard on the radio was that this is happening in Eureka California
(where else--CA is the land of fruit & nuts! <g> ). The talk show host said
that she was taking the babies & announcing that they needed "lactate
nourishment", nursing them, and returning them "unharmed".

I sincerely doubt that writing to her would impact her. This woman sounds
somewhat disordered, to say the least. This behavior is so abnormal that
normal communication is unlikely to be something she could relate to. I
certainly hope that she isn't identifying herself with *any* breastfeeding
support groups/people, because *that* will also certainly get Press.

Does anyone know what happens to a mother's milk supply following a
miscarriage? Nursing baby is 8 mo. old. Mom is about 6 weeks along. This
seems like a pretty basic question, but I've never looked into it from this
angle before.

TIA,

Nancy Williams
