Hi everyone!

I'm new to the group and just wanted to introduce myself. I am currently working on finishing my education to be a lactation educator, and then will proceed toward an IBCLC. I work for a non-profit rural health organization in Ridgecrest, CA. Currently I am functioning as Education Director for an outreach program specializing in parent education, teen pregnancy prevention, mentoring, advocacy for young parents and father involvement. Over the next few months I will be be transferring into more clinical time as a resident lactation consultant at our facility. I am hoping to gain valuable knowledge from this board. While I will be working closely with a physician, I have no IBCLC's in my area, the dialouge between individuals will be valuable. Thank you Lisa Marasco for the information on this.
