A mother asked me today about the proctice of "salting" water used to boil
bottles and teats....

Baby's "care giver" after feeds boils bottles and teats in salt water.
The mother was told this is to insure cleanliness..

My understanding was that salt was used to increase the speed with water
will boil.

Mom is concerned that a) mom is not doing as well by baby as she should
in not boiling iwth salt. and b) wondering if there are any contraindications
to doing this?

       Thank you for your feedback.
