A mother of a 12 month old developed hypoglycemia about three months ago
and she has been having increasing feelings of weakness during nursing.
Today she felt so ill she went to the hospital. MD told her she must wean
the child cold turkey. Mother spoke with LC at hospital who agrees with MD.
I do not know this LC to speak to her about this, but have asked mother to
get references from her MD first to support weaning for hypoglycemia.
Mother states that dietary changes have not helped, and eating before
nursing has not helped. I cannot find anything about maternal hypoglycemia
in any of my regular sources, so would appreciate any help. Thanks!
