Hi, everyone: Just got back from a wonderful vacation (25th anniversary
Mediterranean cruise!). I got an e-mail from someone who is trying to
make up an educational pamphlet about breastfeeding. She wants references
for all the "factoids" that she puts in. She had read somewhere that
human milk has 100 components that are not in abm. She was looking for
the source of that quote. I looked in Riordan and Auerbach and Lawrence.
Although it was hard to quantify totally because some of the listed
components were classes such as oligosaccharides, LCPUFAs, etc, I could
only come up with about 40-45. Just wondering if anyone knows the source
for this quote. Thanks, Alicia Dermer, MD, IBCLC.
