I want to respond to the lactnetters who object to this mother putting off BF until we had
answers. Her milk looked like bile...a blackish green fluid which this mother had no interest in
her baby drinking. It wasn't something I felt comfortable recommending either until I had more
answers. Had the mother wanted to BF before we had results, I would have asked her to taste it
for starts,,I am not sure if her doctor would aggree.. Her bra stained deep green so it would
have been difficult for her not to have noticed. It was bilateral. I usually see bloody milk
only from one or two ducts and this apppeared to be from every duct. I will be back on the floor
on monday and I hope to have answers. THanks again - Toby
