Editing: Thanks to all who helped with editing the blurb for WBW. I
learned some valuable things about editing, and it also always helps to
have other points of view.

Success: The newspaper accepted the blurb, and although they changed it
a little bit, they kicked it back to me for fact-checking.
Additionally, they said they would probably let me write a longer
article for California's Breastfeeding Awareness Month. I will try to
get a firm commitment on this tomorrow.

Grief: I never thought it made sense physiologically for grief or
stress to significantly decrease lactation in most cases. It seems that
we humans, through nature or our own design, have throughout history
always had a great deal of stress and grief in our lives.yet, here we
are, clearly the descendants of a long line of breastfeeders.

Radio: Many thanks to all who called in on the radio show Monday night.
Any positive feedback I receive, I pass on to radio station management
so they will continue to support coverage of breastfeeding issues on our
station. (So far none of the breastfeeding shows have received ANY
negative response from the listening public.) I have another half hour
scheduled Friday from 12:30 to 1:00 pm PDT. I'm trying to get all the
coverage on World Breastfeeding Week that I can. Sometimes I think
focusing on positive, accurate breastfeeding information is a drop in
the bucket, but drop by drop, that bucket gets filled. If you tune(d)
in to either show, do me a favor and drop me a line, telling me what
part of the world you are in. [log in to unmask]
