I have not had any experience with a mother previously treated for
leukemia.  They do get cranial radiation, however, as well as
intrathecal (spinal fluid) anti cancer drugs.  It is quite possible
that the hypothalamus and pituitary were affected.  I have no data on
this, but as lower IQ's have been associated with this treatment, it
is not out of the realm of likelihood that other functions could be
compromised.
