Help! Does anyone have policy information that can be forwarded to me
regarding supplementing a preemie in the NICU without using a bottle,A
friend of mine has been battling with the neonatologist at her hospital
regarding the need to supplement a set of preemie twins. The mother has a
great milk supply and the physicians main concern seems to be slower weight
gain therefore longer stay and bigger hospital bill and insurance company
hassles.Mom has agreed to allow one supplemental feeding at 3am but my
friend (BSN, IBCLC) does not want to use a bottle. She needs some
documentation to show the physician to support her stand. She's asked for my
help since she is not on the net yet but will be soon. Thanks, Lisa
