Excellent!  I often use the analogy of saliva, partly because it is a body
fluid that they already find perhaps a little, well, body-fluidish, yet they
are used to the idea that it is necessary for eating.    And same idea -- if
you eat a lot, you make a lot of saliva.  Nobody says, oops, can't eat for
three hours until your salivary glands have filled up again :)
