The discussion of the Walrond case is a perfect thread within which to ask
a question that a friend posed to me.

She has a 17-year-old daughter who has *very* large breasts. I didn't ask
what the size is, but her bra is cutting a deep groove in her shoulders and
her back is strained and painful from the weight.

This is not a family who are image conscious or desiring perfection in body
shape. The mother has worked for a free wellness clinic for years and
teaches and promotes breastfeeding and healthy living, including social and
emotional health. The children are active in local social service causes
and are quite mature in their self images and concerns for others.

I'm trying to paint a clear picture of this young girl and her concerns.
She is getting a lot of negative attention because of her large breasts,
which are atop a slender, healthy body. She receives leers from men on the
street or in passing cars (or trucks) and hears classmates making off-color
comments about her.

Her mother called to see if there is any breast-reduction procedure that
would not interfere with the future of the girl's breastfeeding. The girl
definitely wants children and to breastfeed them. She's heard the
b'feeding info all of her life. She is also a very "natural" living person.

Large breasts are a family trait, and the mother feels fortunate that she
grew up 45 years ago instead of now. She feels such compassion for her
daughter and wants to support her in any way that she can.

So..... what do you think? Are there any "safe" surgery techniques that
could help her?
