Had several requests - so here is the answer - I have the best co-leaders in
the world :-) LLL of Glassboro (NJ) Group. One's husband works for a co
that will donate up to $1000 in matching funds. We beg items for silent
auction - tix to games, museums etc, BF related items. get free pizza and
subs from local co for refreshments. We've done this for several years now
and they crank out the begging letters via e-mail and wait for the stuff to
arrive :-) Then you invite as many people as possible to attend so the
silent auction things will sell. We pay for park fee and drinks. $ has
built up over a number of years. My advice -start small, think local and
then expand as you are able the next year. That's what we did.

Had it in June this year because LLL Int is in July and the main mover and
pusher, Judith Gilbert, is away in August. Had face painting and
playgrounds for toddlers and kids are adjacent to the pavillion.

I loved the answer about when to have it - be flexible - just like be
flexible about breastfeeding times. Pat in SNJ
