Interesting. Reuteri reduces the level of helicobacter pylori which is
present with/cause of stomach ulcers, and according to a large US study (the
German study apparently had some concerns which made it less reliable)
breastfed babies/children have a lower level of H pylori, thus a decreased
risk of stomach ulcers.

You have to wonder, however, how less effective this product would be after
the gut grows and isn't sealed (as it would have been with a breastfed
child), rather than for a baby to just be breastfed.

I guess it gives us hope for the generations who weren't breastfed, because,
"it doesn't matter."

Best wishes,

<<In this press release, we learn about a new product, a probiotic that
occurs in breast milk, that is claimed to reduce sick days from work in
adults. I'm not clear where they have sourced this bacteria from, I assume
it was cultured from human milk.

So all the adults that didn't get breastfed, can now benefit from this
bacteria, that would otherwise have been innoculated in their sterile infant
gut as a newborn, through breastfeeding??? Anyone else want to comment?
