I read the article "Nursing Trouble" by Susan Greenberg that was
mentioned (the website) on lactnet. Yes, it says something like "as many
as 5%" can have lactation failure. Dr. Neifert differentiates between
primary lactation failure (such as insuff. glandular tissue) and
secondary failure (like Sheehans' I think).
However, I must say the article is pretty balanced as such articles go.
It did give the risk factors and it did tell what to look for like milk
coming in by day 5, 6 or more pees by day 3, and 4 or more poops by day
4 (I think this was what was stated). It did say moms could still
partially bf, and could use a supplementer. So I complimented them on
