There is also the amniotic glove that mustn't be forgotten.  The scent of
amniotic fluid on the newborn's hands matches that of the areola.  Thus
helping the newborn smell his way to the breast.  This is a wonderful reason
to delay the newborn bath for as long as possible-preferably days after
birth, and to leave the hands exposed.
