Morgan beat me to posting about the babies w/breasts in china, but I have:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1301703/What-REALLY-raises-risk-br
east-cancer-We-asked-expert-weigh-evidence-various-theories.html

and a question about weissingerization (ah, the new vocabulary developed in
the world of lactation professionals)

once we remove that pesky hyphen between “breast” and “feed(s)(ing)” and
make it one word,

"women who breast-feed their babies may enjoy a slightly lower breast cancer
risk...could be because breast-feeding reduces a woman's total number of
lifetime menstrual cycles, lowering her lifetime exposure to the hormones
oestrogen and progesterone...the longer a woman breast-feeds, the lower her
risk of cancer".

Yeaaaa! The heading is that NOT BREASTFEEDING is RISK FACTOR for breast
cancer! But then the wording changes to “breastfeeding LOWERS cancer risk.”
Aaaah! I wish they would please stay consistent: Breastfeeding is the
biological norm >> NOT having cancer is the biological norm…..NOT
breastfeeding is NOT normal >> having cancer is NOT biologically normal.

Vicki hayes rn ibclc in chipiona spain, who enjoys moderate (daily) alcohol
intake, doesn’t use HRT (still have my ovaries after my hysterectomy), have
a very healthy body weight, wears underwire bras, is a former smoker…….. and
breastfed for 8 ½ years….
