After reading (and laughing at) several posts pertaining to cats and cows
milk (and human milk), I have to add another story to the mix.

I have raised cats for many years. Nearly all of them have experienced
serious diarrhea after lapping up cows milk. Therefore, at my house, they
are NEVER offered same! They drink water only. They have their own dish of
same (always fresh), but usually disdain it in favor of the dog's dish
(also fresh; but a larger bowl). Go figure!

PS While she allows them the privilege of drinking from her large bowl, she
will NOT allow eating her food. We almost had cat for lunch one day when
the female took it upon herself to court danger by attempting to nibble on
kibble one day when the dog was in the house and within 10 feet of the
bowl! Kibble went in 1000 different directions as she lunged for the cat
with her mouth open and horrible growls emitting. Had I not grabbed her
tail and slowed her down, I would be minus one cat! The cat stayed under
my bed for about a week after that episode, but learned not to do that
again. Some lessons are more easily learned than others, I guess. :-)

brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
