I've got a mom with a nursing 7 month old who needs to have a myelogram done
next Friday. She's gotten conflicting answers when she asked if it is safe
to bf her baby afterward. One radiologist said "Sure", another said "Pump
1-2 days", and her ped said his stock answer (used anytime someone asks if a
drug/food/dye etc. is safe with bf) "Just pump for 8 hours--that's how long
it takes the breast to filter stuff out."

She did find out that the dye to be used is called "Omnipaque" strength
"240", and that is non-ionic iodine. Is Dr. Hale out there? Anyone know a
bf neurologist?

TIA!
