Dear Casi,
I am confused about the baby's history. Was he born at 26 wks gestation and
spent only 4-5 days in Nicu leaving hospital totally bf? This sounds quite
impossible to me. Perhaps you meant he was born at 36 wks gestation weighing
around 4 lbs, this makes more sense. He gained well first 3 months, then not
so for next 1.5 mos, is he then 4.5 months old? Is he now 4 lbs or was that
the birthweight? What is the weight now?
In any case, I am thinking a viral illness occurred? Perhaps the baby had
started on some formula or weaning foods? This could be a food sensitivity
or allergy issue then?
