Dear Pearl,

How sad for you -- yes, I do think there can be enough hormones to get pg,
but not enough to maintain pg. My own mother miscarried 7 times and she
wasn't bf anyone! Most of hers were early on -- suspicion is that she simply
didn't have enough progesterone to maintain the pg. Someone more
knowledgeable can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think oxytocin can
have an effect on the uterus that early on. I've posted on this before, but
there is a reason why Pitocin isn't used as an abortifacient. It isn't
effective. And, as I have also said before, if the doc hasn't told you to
stop all sexual intercourse & lovemaking involving breasts & nipples, then
there really isn't reason to be concerned about a baby bf.
