Personal experience -- I too got my periods by 6 mos, and while my first had
bottles because I didn't know any better, the other two never did. However, I
was not what you'd call an abundant producer. I used the same box of pads for
all 3 kids as I rarely leaked. And, none of my daughters weighed in at 20 lbs
on their first birthday. I am overweight and never had regular periods except
when I was on the pill in my youth. I always attributed by bad luck in
getting my period early (NOT FAIR) to the fact that I had the good luck of
children who slept thru the night very early on (6 wk, 8 wk & 3 wks) but
maybe there is more to it than that??? Since the shop is closed I don't worry
about it, but remember being quite surprised at the time.
