Maggie,
You mention that some women have partners who don't wait the recommended
six weeks postpartum before resuming sexual relations.  That perhaps the
Depo shot is given as protection against a partner who is coercive.  I
would have to agree that this certainly can be the case, but I had to
smile as I thought about this.  I don't know too many WOMEN who waited
the recommended six weeks :-D

What bothers me is that Depo protects against pregnancy for 3 months
only.  Breastfeeding is sabotaged forever.
