I once thought out loud "wouldn't it be great for moms to be able to make
money from their oversupplies of milk to the benefit of others and have an
income source that would keep them at home?" However, it was pointed out to
me that some mothers will deprive their own babies in order to sell their
milk, perhaps giving them watered down milk or some other substitute.
Perhaps someone would abort a baby in order to then be lactating and sell
the milk. Awful thoughts, but better to have it on a screened donor basis as
is the current system.
