Thanks Pam, that was great info.  Timely for me..  Has anyone dealt with pre-
exsiting  maternal conditions which require moms to be on high doses of 
opiates during pregnancy?  One of my mom's was, and baby had severe 
suck/swallow issues.  High pitched cry and very irritable.  I know mom felt just 
awful about it. She will continue to be on strong opiates during her recovery 
from c/s.  This baby couldn't suck for over 24 hours...policy requires them to 
be on IV fluids.  Started to improve after 36 hours, did much better on breast 
than bottle. Now weaning off IV's.  hopefully continues to improve.  My heart 
goes out to both of them.
