I don't have any more BF information on depo, though there is another reason not
to administer depo imm. postpartum.  My midwife told me after my son was born
that many DRs choose not to administer depo until the pp checkup.  This is
because if the woman is still bleeding and has taken depo they have no way of
telling if the bleeding is a postpartum complication or just the side effect of
depo.

I know this isn't scientific, but it is definetely something to think about
before decideding on depo.  I know personally women who've had D&Cs that turned
out to be unnecessary because they got depo in the hospital.
