I agree with Kathy D.'s comments on problems with milk ingestion by those
groups. I would also expect to see intolerance/allergy develop in many
caucasian children. People react not only to the milk protein but also to the
pesticides used to grow the grain fed to the cows and to the antibiotics used
to keep the cows healthy.The word healthy should be used lightly in this
context because I don't know how any creature that is forced to grow and
produce beyond what nature intended could really be considered healthy.
Recognition of the dangers of cow's milk consumption in adulthood are only
beginning to be understood. Women are, again, a target for the propaganda of
the dairy bureaus on the issue of osteoporosis. Well, studies have clearly
demonstrated an inverse relationship in suseptible women ...the calcium levels
in their bones actually decreased with an increase in the comsumption of cow's
milk. Definite problem here.
 So do we need to start children off at an earlier age and put them at risk of
diseases like this?I would prefer the orange juice idea to the milk one
anyday. But beware that the juice should come from green oranges (their
natural color as I understand it) not the ones that have been treated to turn
orange.
