Sports drinks are not recommended for dehydration, they are for people 
actively participating in sports and sweating a lot.  Their makeup is 
incorrect to fix dehydration from diarrhea or fever.  The mom isn't 
dehydrated if she is drinking to thirst.  Over watering can have the reverse 
effect on milk production (down instead of up :-(  Another screwball 
suggestion from someone who doesn't know much about breastfeeding or
