infected with AIDS or K-J disease<

A colleague went to the UK MIlk Banking conference and told me that
suggestions were made from Public Health Laboratories here in UK that women
who received bovine based growth hormone should not be able to donate milk,
bcause of the risk of CJD.  A short step from telling them not to bf their
own babies (and give bovine based formulations instead, I suppose, hmmm)???
In a society where the discourses of risk proliferate and the faith in
screening is high, various frightening scenarios write themselves.
