Coach Smith can't resist -
Think about the audience and the video camera, if the session is being
videotaped. Bright white shirts or lab coats, especially against black suits
are very difficult to videotape - pick a light blue or other pastel color
shirt instead. (Blue oxford shirts show up well.) Ties are phallic symbols
anyway, so I won't even try to comment on what design or style is "best." If
you wear one, pick a color that doesn't drive a camera lens crazy. (Ask
someone at your local cable TV station if you want good advice!)
If the session isn't being videotaped, wear whatever you like. Something
dressier than a bathing suit would be good. Top hat and tails are not
necessary, unless you are using a silver-tipped cane as your pointer. In
which case, spats would complete the outfit nicely.
Actually, all eyes will probably be on your slides or overheads anyway. At
least during your talk.
See you soon.

OH.
