Good morning all,

I have a client who is due to birth in about 2 weeks. She has inverted
nipples and has a very difficult time BF. She tried everything with her
first 2 babies, and nothing worked (I don't know exactly what she tried or
who she went to, this is just what she told me.). Wht she intends to do is
pump her milk and give it to baby in a bottle. She just purchased a N------3
from me and asked how soon she could start pumping. She wants to have a
supply built up so that she can take it with her when she goes into the
hospital so that baby won't be given any ABM. I told her there was a
possible risk of early labor due to stimulation, but she seemed to like that
idea! (I wasn't averse to early labor when I was that far along either!) I
suggested that she bring the pump to the hosp with her and pump there, but
she doesn't really want to do that because of all the people coming in and
out of her room. I told her she would need to pump while there anyway,
otherwise she might have problems.
Is there any advice you can offer for this mom, or is she fine pumping early?
TIA for all responses!

Jay
