Just had a very difficult question from a mom whose baby (ventilator, 2 -
3oz, all sorts of signs of infection and many different antibiotics) is
very sick.. He has been found to have "a fungus" she told me, and then she
described to me pain and the usual classic symptoms of candidiasis in her
own breasts.

Question - she has been storing milk for this wee one in the hopes of
giving it to him - but if the milk has candidiasis it would be devastating
to give it to him. How long to be on diflucan before the milk is safe to
store again - and how much of the milk previously stored needs to be thrown
away? Baby is 2 weeks old and she has had the breast pain for 3 days.
