As regards the term "FLK", Sandy is right that sometimes it is
indicative of some sort of syndrome. But (having worked in a hospital
nursery for almost 20 years), sometimes it is because the baby has an
FLM or FLD (funny-looking mom or dad). And I'm relieved when it is.
(although , as our geneticist says, 10% of people have some sort of
syndrome and most do fine.)
