I continue to enjoy keeping up with postings. I want to contribute some
information this time. I am not sure how many of you are using this item
but I have found a great find. It is called a Kango Wrap. It is a shirt
that mom slips into and when you place baby skin to skin you tie the long
tabs around mom and underneat the baby's bottom to secure him with mom. I
am using them on our OB unit so that I can encourage skin to skin up to 24
hrs if needed or until baby is nursing well and freq. This top can also be
purchased as a gown. I felt the gown would be too awkward on the unit.
Precious Image Creations makes it. Wholesale cost is $20. Another great
thing about this is that mom is not so exposed so visitors can still peak
at the baby. Baby is maintaining his temperature skin to skin with mom.
My moms so far really like them. It is a cotton jersey. You can view it on
Precious Image Creations.com. I do not have any financial interest in this
item but hope to pass this along to any of you that might want to try
using them.
