Sudden Unexpected Postnatal Collapse of the Newborn, Ferrarello, D & Carmichael, T.   2016.  AWHONN, 20 (3) 268-275.
Critical info re: supervision by a nurse of mother and baby during first hours.   In 2/3rd  instances of Sudden Postnatal collapse of the newborn  the mother (and father) and infant  were alone. Article includes tips on prevention.  Pennsylvania Hospital where both authors work is newly designated BFHI :-)
