I'm a little behind in my reading but wanted to jump in here.  I use the
cross-cradle a lot when teaching moms.  One of the differences I see in reading
these posts is what I suggest after the infant is latched and feeding.  I
suggest Mom change her arm position to a cradle hold to ensure her comfort.  No one
feeding needs to be in only one position.  Just my 2 cents
