Brenda, I have never heard of anyone lancing a bleb. OUCH. I would suggest
that she use a lot of heat on it, and maybe have her midwife lift a tiny
layer of skin from the top with a sterile needle, and then try to express
the plug, which may be like a piece of hardened "toothpaste" like material.
I wonder if this might be related to an infectious process, and if Jack's
all purpose cream might help? www.breastfeedingonline.com has this info.  I
have seen this situation where yeast was also present.
