I also recently saw a mom who had her nipples removed and areolae
reshaped before they were sewn back on.  Don't remember how many years
ago, but not many.  I saw her when baby was 3 days old and hardly
transferring anything.  She did not have engorgement or breast fullness
at all.  I was very pessimistic (but did not tell her that).  We did
Domperidone and fenugreek and lots of pumping plus formula
supplementation as needed.  It was about 4 weeks until she had a full
supply!!  I am amazed...I do not understand how this can happen.  And
why did she not get engorged in areas that presumably no longer
communicated with the outside world???

She is the first I have seen with a full supply...but there were no
"ectopic pores".
