I don't have any kind of official answer, but I was told
to wait at least 6 months after I stopped nursing before
having a mammogram. I would imagine you need at least
that much before breast surgery.
Of course, that was in the US where people don't nurse
very long and weaning is different than in places where
long term nursing is common, I would imagine.
