This is just one person's experience.  When my son was born 23 years  ago by 
CSection, I was given morphine post-op.  Just  before discharge, the nurse 
detected a very low heartrate and he was  sent to the ICU.  The doctors said 
there could be no connection to the  morphine, but they were unable to provide any 
other possible explanation  of the cause.
