Re: fat of breastfed baby vs. formula-fed baby.  Yes, Winnie, I have noticed that the fat of one is a different quality from the fat of the other.  I've also notice a different look.  Chubby formula-fed babies look sort of (I know this is a very strong word) grotesque to me, like that's not the way they're *supposed* to look - even their skin doesn't look or feel as smooth, whereas chubby breastfed babies just *look* healthier.  Perhaps it's just my bias coming through when I know how they're being fed...  It might be interesting to conduct a study where lactation professionals attempt to guess whether a baby is exclusively breast or bottle fed based on feel and appearance.
