Did she specify what she considered to be the cons? I suspect she bristled
at your too-quick dismissal of her research, so perhaps you could backtrack
a bit by apologizing for speaking so quickly and then ask her for
information on those cons. Odds are you've got the personal and
professional means of countering misinformation!

Whether she'll buy it or not is another story. From my own experience, I
know it's a touchy situation trusting a new doctor late in pregnancy. When
I was 36 weeks into my second pregnancy, my well-liked and trusted family
doc went on unexpected, indefinite personal leave. I was on edge and ready
to be defensive coming in to see her replacement. (Defensiveness that was
later justified, incidentally, as she was in such an inexplicable rush to
evict my baby. Um, no.)
