Okay, I'm ready to begin my study but now I need to get sample
poplulations.
I am looking to question groups of OB's, Midwives and Pedi's. Since I am
"funding"
this study myself I can't afford to do too big of a mailing but would
like a diverse sample. I was hoping for about 50 from each group. Could
Lactnetters email me names/addresses of people in above groups? I am NOT
looking for bfing friendly only practitioners as that would be a biased
sample but I don't have access to phone books across the country. I've
never done any sort of formal research (duh, can you tell?), so I'm sort
of flying by the seat of my pants. I know enough that I have to limit
confounding factors, bias etc. Figuring out my questionnaire was even
tricker than I thought because I had to make sure the questions were in
no way "leading" and open ended (HA how do you make a yes/no question
open ended!). I've finally come up with about 10 questions. The study
will be entitled:
"Attitudes of HCP's to Strong Marketing Messages of Infant Health Care
Issues" I will be looking at responses to Smoking and Breastfeeding
messages and comparing them. Again if anyone has advice or suggestions
on how to proceed I welcome them!
