<<<<"I had my baby in the hospital and that is a
place of health. I recieved a bag with formula in it and coupons for more.
I just don't believe that they would give me something that is harmful to my
baby.<<<<

Not to be a pedant here, but to be a bit pedandic- I go to the hospital
when I am sick, injured or need surgery. I don't go there because I'm
feeling great. I go to the gym or the mountains when I want to go to a
place of health and many many older people I've known fear hospitals as a
place to pick up disease.

OTOH- it is great to be aware that people have an attitude such as this-
same as the moms who supplement because 'the hospital gave it to them so
they thought they were supposed to'. This is why it is crucial to eliminate
those 'gift packs'. I wasn't given a breastmilk substitute pack when my
daughter was born at University Hospital in Denver- but the abm company
sponsored breastfeeding pack had a little can of expired abm in it. It was
not the most enlightened hospital overall. I too am very interested in
knowing how people have gotten hospitals to eliminate those 'gift packs'
overall.
